Alarm Servicing
False Alarms: HOT TIP if your alarm is activating for no apparent reason, even if the system is not armed, by using the user manual and identifying the offending zone, you can isolate or bypass that zone to stop it alarming until a Licensed Security Technician attends your premises to remedy the problem. Be aware that if you bypass a zone and arm your system, that the bypassed zone is not active but may become active when you disarm the system in which case you will have to bypass / isolate it again.
Service or Trouble Light: This means your alarm has a problem, sometimes a code pad will beep at regular intervals when this light is on. You must acknowledge the fault for these beeps to stop. Find your user manual or download one from our User Manuals page.
We get many calls from people saying their alarm is beeping, many times it is actually a low battery in a smoke detector which has nothing to do with the alarm. Please check this to save the cost of a callout fee and subsequent embarrassment. Some funny things we have found apart from smoke detectors: Toilet cistern noise, low battery in a treadmill display, children's toys under lounges.
